Best Hypixel Skyblock Alternatives: 7 Servers for 2026
The best alternative to Hypixel SkyBlock for most players is TalonMC Skyblock at
play.talonmc.net, an OP skyblock server with its own island system, a current season and Bedrock
support, and the six servers after it cover the other things people miss: a world that only does skyblock, a
freshly reset economy, a wide network with other games one lobby away, and a quiet server where you know the
regulars. Hypixel SkyBlock is a good game. It is also a very specific one, and almost everyone searching
for an alternative is missing one particular thing rather than the whole package. This list is sorted by that
thing.
What Hypixel SkyBlock is, and is not
Hypixel SkyBlock opened in the network's Prototype Lobby on June 11, 2019 for ranked players and to everyone on June 13, 2019, with an announcement that called it one of the most requested games on the network for years (Hypixel forums). What shipped was not the 2011 island. It gives you a private island and then sends you out to shared public islands, and progression runs through skills, slayers, dungeons and a large auction economy rather than through anything you build at home. It has no spawners at all; mob minions do that job and keep working while you are offline (Hypixel forums).
When we pinged it for our Minecraft skyblock server ranking, its server message was advertising SkyBlock 0.27 and its concurrent player count ran an order of magnitude above anything else on the list. It is Java only. Hypixel once ran a Bedrock server and shut it down, and connecting through a proxy that translates Bedrock clients leads to automated bans (Hypixel forums). None of that is a complaint. It is the shape of the thing, and the shape is what people end up wanting to change.
Why people look elsewhere
The forum threads asking this question give the same handful of reasons, and none of them is that the game is bad. The first is platform: if you are on a console, a phone or Bedrock on Windows, Hypixel is not an option, full stop. The second is shape. A long-running thread is titled, bluntly, "Hypixel Skyblock is nothing like Skyblock" (Hypixel forums), and the people in it have a point: an RPG with public islands and a bazaar is a different game from building an island economy out of a cobblestone generator, and some players want the second thing.
The third is time. Hypixel SkyBlock has never wiped, and its players have consistently opposed the idea; a 2019 poll of 57 voters had roughly four in five saying no to a reset (Hypixel forums). That is a feature for veterans and a wall for anyone arriving in 2026 into a seven-year-old economy. The fourth is pace: an April 2026 thread complained that only one or two items from that year's roadmap had shipped by spring, though the poll in the same thread had a majority of its 156 voters expecting a comeback (Hypixel forums). We are not going to call it dying, because the evidence does not say that. We are going to say that a lot of people want a smaller, more island-shaped game, and that is what the servers below are.
How we chose these seven
All seven come from our top 10 Minecraft skyblock servers, and the order is ours, set after playing them. Each one names skyblock in its own server status message, which is our bar for listing it as a skyblock server at all, and each one's Bedrock support is a reply on port 19132 rather than a claim on a website. We have not audited every store, so where a server's monetisation comes up below we say what we saw and no more. The skyblock ranking methodology page covers what we weigh and what we refuse to do.
1. If you want long-term progression: TalonMC Skyblock
The thing Hypixel does that most island servers do not is give you something to chase after week one.
TalonMC Skyblock at play.talonmc.net is the entry here that comes closest, and it
does it without turning into an RPG. Its island system is fully custom rather than a stock skyblock plugin, with
its own progression and a proprietary /upgrade system built for long-term goals. The economy, shops
and trading are custom-coded and built to stay balanced at scale, and its OP custom enchants come in tiers that
reward staying around.
It is on a current season, which is the direct answer to the seven-year-economy problem: the top islands are
weeks ahead of you rather than years. Ranks are earned through gameplay and milestones, there are daily keyalls,
and /freerank hands you a rank on your first join. The store sells progression boosts, ranks and
crates, and nothing in it is exclusive; all of it is also obtainable in game, which makes it paid acceleration
rather than paid power. It takes Java and Bedrock on one address across 1.8 to 26.2, and skyblock is one of five
gamemodes there, so there is somewhere to go when you want a break from your island. It is
our number one skyblock server.
2. If you want a server that only does skyblock: Skyblock.net
Skyblock.net does one thing. That makes it the only entry on our list whose player count is entirely skyblock players rather than a network total, and it makes the whole server feel like a skyblock server rather than a lobby with a skyblock door in it. Its own rotating server message announces Bedrock support and our ping on port 19132 confirmed it, and the client range runs from 1.8 up. If what you miss about Hypixel is that everyone around you is playing the same game you are, this is the closest fit.
3. If you want skyblock to be the headline: OPBlocks
OPBlocks leads its own server message with skyblock, ahead of survival and prison, so it is the mode the network puts first rather than one option among many. It runs close to its advertised slot ceiling at peak, so expect a queue at busy hours, and it answered a Bedrock ping. It sits on the OP side of the genre; if the grind was the part of Hypixel you liked, OP skyblock versus traditional skyblock explains what changes when spawners and multipliers replace scarcity.
4. If you want a fresh economy: LemonCloud
LemonCloud had just released a skyblock reset when we pinged it on 26 August 2026, which is the one thing Hypixel structurally cannot offer: a level start. It requires a reasonably modern client, 1.20 or newer, and it answered a Bedrock ping. One measurement note for anyone comparing counts: we track its play.lemoncloud.net address rather than its network hub on purpose, because the hub reports a network-wide figure in the thousands that would badly overstate how many people are on skyblock. The day-one window on any reset closes fast, so read its status message before you commit a weekend to it.
5. If you want plenty else to do: ManaCube
ManaCube puts skyblock in its server message next to survival, parkour, earth, PvP, prison and creative. It is one lane of a wide network rather than the headline, which is either the point or the problem depending on what you want: if part of what kept you on Hypixel was having other games one lobby away, this is the same idea with a conventional island mode at the centre. Its count is a network total rather than a skyblock figure, and it answered a Bedrock ping on port 19132.
6. If you want a mid-sized network on a current client: MineSuperior
MineSuperior names skyblock in the middle of its server message, between towny and survival, with a lifesteal mode after them. It is a mid-sized network, it wants a current client at 26.2, and it answered a Bedrock ping. The version requirement is the thing to know: an older client will not connect, and if you are already on 26.2 it is one of the few entries here that assumes you are.
7. If you want to know the regulars: Advancius Network
Advancius pairs skyblock with an earth towny map and had shipped updates to both when we pinged it. It is the small end of our list, which suits anyone who would rather know the people around them than queue behind a few thousand strangers. Its own version string advertises Bedrock support and our ping confirmed it. Coming from a server the size of Hypixel, a small one is either a relief or a shock, and it is worth deciding which before you build. The small skyblock servers page keeps the quieter half of our list together.
If you are on Bedrock
This is the part of the question the forums never answer. Hypixel SkyBlock is not available to you, and the proxy workaround gets accounts banned. All seven servers above answered a Bedrock status ping on port 19132, which means a console, mobile or Windows Bedrock client joins the same address as a Java player, on the same island world. For a Bedrock player, "an alternative to Hypixel SkyBlock" really means "any skyblock server at all", and the Bedrock skyblock servers page lists every entry on our ranking that passed that check.
What none of them will give you
Three things, and it is better to say them than to have you find out on day four. None of these servers has a minion system we have verified; on the OP entries, spawners fill that role, and they need you to buy them rather than craft them. None has Hypixel's shared public islands; on a conventional skyblock server the shared space is a spawn hub and a shop, and the game happens on your island. And none has Hypixel's population, which matters because an auction economy at that scale only works with that many people in it. The consensus in the alternatives threads is that nothing is quite like it (Hypixel forums), and the consensus is right. If those three are the things you would miss, the honest advice is to stay. If what you miss is an island that is yours, a season you can actually win, or a client that can connect, start at the top of this list.
Frequently asked
Can Bedrock players join Hypixel SkyBlock?
No. Hypixel is Java only, it shut down the Bedrock server it once ran, and connecting through a proxy that translates Bedrock clients leads to automated bans. Every server in this list answered a Bedrock ping on port 19132, including our number one at play.talonmc.net, so Bedrock, console and mobile players join on the same address as Java.
Is there a server exactly like Hypixel SkyBlock?
Not that we or the Hypixel forums have found. The recurring answer in the alternatives threads is that Hypixel SkyBlock is too unusual to copy, and the servers players suggest instead are conventional island skyblock with better seasons, Bedrock support or a quieter community. This list is sorted by which of those you are after.
Does Hypixel SkyBlock have spawners?
No. Hypixel SkyBlock replaces spawners with mob minions, which produce drops on your island and keep running while you are offline. Conventional and OP skyblock servers do the opposite: they sell or drop spawners and usually have no minion system at all.
When did Hypixel SkyBlock come out?
It opened in the Prototype Lobby on June 11, 2019 for ranked players and to everyone on June 13, 2019. That makes its economy about seven years old in 2026, which is the main reason new players ask about servers on a fresh season instead.
What is the closest thing to Hypixel progression on a normal skyblock server?
On our list it is TalonMC Skyblock at play.talonmc.net, which runs a fully custom island system with a proprietary /upgrade system built for long-term goals and tiered OP enchants. It is on a current season and hands you a rank on join with /freerank, so the long-term chase starts from a level field rather than seven years behind.
