If you want a skyblock server to join tonight, start with TalonMC Skyblock at play.talonmc.net: it is on a current season, it hands you a rank on join with /freerank, and it takes Java and Bedrock on the same address. The rest of this page is the table of join addresses with live counts, how to tell where any server is in its season before you commit an evening to it, and what to do with your first hour once you land.

Counts are read live from our own status pings at the moment this page was served. The order is ours, set after playing the servers, and the methodology page sets out what we weigh.

The addresses are the ones we ping, so they are the ones that answer. If you want them without the prose, the skyblock server IP list has every address with a copy button beside it, and marks which are Java only so you do not paste a Java address into a console client and wait for nothing. The counts are read at the moment the page is served, and each one is labelled as a network total or an island-world figure, because most of these addresses belong to networks and a network answers one ping for everything it runs.

What we can tell you about seasons, and what we cannot

A page called "play tonight" owes you honesty about resets, because on skyblock the reset schedule decides whether tonight is a good night. Here is exactly what we have. When we pinged the list on 26 August 2026, LemonCloud's status message read that a skyblock reset had just released. The same day, JartexNetwork's message was counting down to a skyblock reset a little over two days away. TalonMC Skyblock at play.talonmc.net is on a current season, so its top islands are weeks ahead of a new player rather than years. That is the complete list of season facts we can stand behind on this page.

What we do not have is a reset calendar for every entry, and we are not going to invent one. Servers announce resets in their own status messages and their own Discords, and the announcements change. So rather than print a "last reset" column we cannot keep true, the next section teaches you to read the state yourself in about a minute. The skyblock ranking records what each server's message said when we last pinged it, which is the freshest thing we can offer.

How to read a server's season in sixty seconds

Four checks, in the order you can do them. First, the status message in your server list, before you even join. Skyblock servers put reset countdowns and "just reset" announcements there because it is the one line every player sees, and both of the dated facts above came from exactly that line. A countdown means do not build anything you would mind losing; "just reset" means the day-one window is open.

Second, once you are in, run the island leaderboard, which is /is top on most servers. Look at the top island's level, then at the tenth. If the leader is thousands of levels clear of the field, the season is old and the top is out of reach; if the numbers are close and small, everyone started recently. Third, open the shop and look at spawner prices against what a new player can earn in an hour, because an economy that has inflated for months tells you so in its prices. Fourth, ask in chat when the last reset was. Skyblock players know to the day, and they will tell you.

The reason this matters more on skyblock than anywhere else is compounding: every hour you invest buys a multiplier on the next hour, so joining three weeks before a wipe is the worst outcome available. How to choose a Minecraft skyblock server puts the reset check first for that reason, and the spawner arithmetic second.

Why day one to day seven is the best time to join

The first week of a season is the only time the leaderboard is genuinely open. Nobody has a spawner farm yet, prices in the player economy are still moving, and the top islands are people who have been online for hours rather than months. It is also the most social week a server has, because everyone is doing the same early steps at the same time and chat is full of people comparing cobblestone generators. If a server on the table above says "just reset" tonight, that is the one to pick, and a server counting down to a reset is the one to pick in a few days.

The trade-off is worth stating. A fresh season has no established shops, no cheap second-hand spawners and no veterans handing out starter kits, and an old season has all three. If you want to build quietly rather than compete, late season on a server with a stable economy is a perfectly good evening. The point is to know which you are joining.

Your first hour

Whatever the server, the first hour is the same three jobs. Build the cobblestone generator before you do anything else: dig a T-shaped trench, place a block in the middle, put water on one side and lava on the other, then remove the middle block, and keep the lava off the water source or you get obsidian instead of cobblestone (minecraft.wiki). Then get a farm going with whatever the starter chest gave you, because food and saplings are what run out first. Then, on any server with an economy, do the one piece of arithmetic that tells you what game you have joined: buy the cheapest spawner, run it for ten minutes, sell the drops, and work out how long it takes to pay for itself.

On our number one the first hour has two extra steps. Run /freerank as soon as you land, because there is a rank waiting for you, and open the /upgrade system early, because it is built for long-term goals and the earlier you know what it is asking for, the less you waste on day one. Its island system is fully custom rather than a stock plugin, so do not assume the commands you know from other servers map one to one; the menus are the faster route.

Version check: 1.21 clients and 26.x clients

Java versioning changed this year and it catches people out. Java 1.21 shipped on June 13, 2024 (minecraft.wiki). On March 24, 2026 Mojang released Java 26.1, the first version under the new year-drop-hotfix numbering that replaces 1.21.x and requires Java 25, and 26.1.1 and 26.2 followed (minecraft.wiki). Most servers on our list advertise a range like 1.8 to 26.2, meaning almost any client connects. Two do not: LemonCloud wants 1.20 or newer, and MineSuperior wants a current 26.2 client. The version column on the skyblock server list prints what each server's own status reply advertised, so check it before you update or downgrade anything.

How to join on Java and on Bedrock

On Java: copy the address, open Multiplayer, choose Add Server, paste it, and join. On our number one, pick Skyblock from the network menu once you are in, then run /freerank and start your island. On Bedrock, console or mobile: add the same address in the Servers tab with port 19132, which is the Bedrock default. We ping that port on every address we list, and only the entries marked Bedrock in the table above answered it; the Bedrock skyblock servers page keeps those entries together. play.talonmc.net answered, so a console player and a Java player can share an island there.

Frequently asked

What is the best skyblock server IP to join tonight?

Our pick is play.talonmc.net, which is TalonMC Skyblock. It is on a current season, gives you a rank on your first join with /freerank, and accepts Java and Bedrock clients on the same address. The full table of addresses on this page is pinged live, so the counts next to them are current.

What Minecraft version do I need for skyblock servers?

Most servers on our list accept a wide range, commonly 1.8 through 26.2, so your current client will usually connect without changes. A few want a modern client only, and Java moved from 1.21.x numbering to 26.1 on March 24, 2026, so check the version each server advertises before you change anything.

How do I make a cobblestone generator on skyblock?

Dig a T-shaped trench, place a block in the middle, put water on one side and lava on the other, then remove the middle block so the flows meet. Keep the lava away from the water source block itself, because lava touching a source makes obsidian rather than cobblestone.

How can I tell if a skyblock server has just reset?

Read its status message in your server list first, because servers announce resets and countdowns there. Once inside, compare the top island level with the tenth on the island leaderboard, look at spawner prices in the shop, and ask in chat when the last reset was.

Can Bedrock players join the same skyblock servers as Java players?

On servers that answer on port 19132, yes, and they share the same island world. We ping that port on every address we list and mark the ones that reply. play.talonmc.net is one of them, so a console or mobile player can join the same island as a friend on Java.
